Look out for a new workshop called “Busting Boring Bio’s”. We are getting many requests to help people work on their bios. No one likes talking about themselves so this workshop is about getting to the bottom of what makes you stand out from the rest of the crowd. It will have you get to grips with telling your Own story.

Spoke is continuing to work on a range of communications initiatives
for an Auckland and Northland Maori tribe (iwi), Ngati Whatua.
We’re developing a new style of tribal radio station
for the iwi, called Radio Ake. It can be heard on 1179 am
in Auckland, and will soon be streamed online.

Andrew Melville has been engaged to assist in completing a
Public Relations course for the University of Oman in the
Middle East. It is part of a project at AUT University.

Spoke Ltd continues its work on audio installations and podcasts
for the Auckland Regional Council.
Recent commissions include tracks for Whatipu at the tip of
the Manukau Harbour, Kokako birdsong and stories for use in
the Hunua Ranges, and family stories for Rose Hellaby House
on Scenic Drive and Couldrey House at Wenderholm.
Spoke specialises in researching and recording interviews
for oral histories, than editing them into ‘bite sized’
stories.

leasing strategists, Parallel Directions.
The blog has led to a number of sales leads for the company,
has been quoted in the media, and by clients in presentations.

o Ngati Whatua.
The Runanga is currently engaged in an iwi-wide treaty claim
process, as well as managing a range of health services and
business development opportunities on behalf of the iwi.

Spoke has just completed an audio installation about the history
of Whatipu for the Auckland Regional Council. The installation
will be part of a small museum at Whatipu, in the former Post
Office now located near Whatipu Lodge.

The founders of TetraMap, a wonderful human training and development
tool ,using nature as a metaphor, have just completed a revised
edition of their book. Spoke acted as editor and authored
revisions of the book.

Spoke has won the Highly Commended PRINZ award for the Mission
in the City project. The award was made in the Not For Profit
Category. Spoke was awarded for its campaign to design and
promote an Ideas competition to sustainably develop an Auckland
inner city site for the Auckland City Mission and St Matthew-in-the-city.
The campaign attracted entries from all over the world.
